Scaring the Pets we've decided to give all our loyal fans a present in the form of a free download.
Sweet Tereza was a song we recorded for the
Monsters from the Id EP.
Monsters from the Id was never given a proper release, and instead served as a demo for the full studio recording which became
Scaring the Pets. Sadly along the way we decided to ditch
Sweet Tereza; the record seemed to "flow" much better without it.
The song itself is a rather wordy number, and has its lyrical seed in two places. The first half is concerned with the production of the hormone Oxytocin (the "mothering" hormone), and the second part is about Nietzsche's concept of Eternal Return, all handilly framed by the lead characters from Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer...
